Upcoming changes that will affect
Chehalis River Campground and Chehalis River Group Site
effective April 1, 2025
Sts’ailes is in the process of acquiring the Chehalis River Campground and the Chehalis River Group Site, and will be working towards implementing a number of improvements over the next few years to make your visit even more enjoyable. One example of this is the eco-heritage trail that Sts’ailes established along the Chehalis River, ensuring ongoing public access to this special area.
With the transfer of ownership, the Provincial Recreation Sites & Trails program will no longer be covering the insurance, the replacement of picnic tables, outhouses, fire pits, host supplies, permits, or other expenses. To cover these costs and to maintain the trail, there will be a nominal fee increase effective April 1, 2025. The camping fees will be increased by $7 per night based on a single site, which keeps the nightly rate well below other similar private campgrounds. The managers are looking forward to developing a day use area that will enhance public access along the river.
West Harrison Reservations will continue to mange these campgrounds on behalf of Sts’ailes.
We look forward to all of the positive changes in this campground.
