The campfire ban has been rescinded effective 12:00 (noon) on May 15, 2026.
Small campfires are now permitted in our campgrounds and group sites.
Campfire and Backyard Burning prohibitions to be Rescinded in Coastal Fire Centre
PARKSVILLE – Effective on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 12 p.m. (noon), the Category 1 campfire prohibition will be rescinded throughout the Coastal Fire Centre. Category 2 and Category 3 open burning will remain prohibited.
