Fire Ban

Fire Ban – If/When is it in effect

The province decides when a fire ban is put in place, not us, so we have no control when a ban is in effect.
Due to extremely dry weather conditions, Fire Bans do occur across BC and in Rec Sites.
If a Fire Ban is instituted, signs will be posted and the Camp Host will NOT permit any fires.

PERMITTED During a fire ban:

  • Self Contained CSA-rated or ULC-rated cooking stoves that use gas, propane or briquettes
  • Unaltered CSA or ULC approved Propane Fire Pits, so long as the height of the flame is less than 15 centimetres, unless otherwise determined by the Wildfire Regulations.

NOT PERMITTED During a fire ban:

  • NO CAMPFIRES
  • NO Candles or Tiki Torches
  • Briquettes are NOT allowed to be burned in our fire rings. They are only permitted in a portable, self contained CSA or ULC approved apparatus.
  • NO Fireworks – Fireworks are never allowed in our campgrounds or group sites

Please check the gov. website for updates regarding Fire Bans (we are located in the Coastal District)
